I believe in the power of networking and knowledge sharing and I facilitate five network groups in Denmark with 60 members from global companies such as Bang & Olufsen, Danfoss, Grundfos, Lego, Novo Nordisk and Novozymes.
The groups have specific focus areas as described below:
- Leadership+Innovation: This is for people working on the intersection of leadership and innovation. Our members have a significant role to play with regards to the innovation efforts of their companies.
- Innovation DNA: This is for people working with specific innovation projects within their companies. This includes projects on developing organizational innovation capabilities as well as the creation of new growth platforms,
- Marketing+Innovation: This is for people working on the intersection of marketing and innovation.
- Go-to-market:
A network group consists of 12-16 members. A group meets four times a year to discuss relevant issues and challenges among the members. Guests and thought leaders are occasionally invited to the meetings and I also arrange talks and workshops with these people.
As of early 2009, I am working to setup a Leadership+Innovation group in Silicon Valley. The long term plan is to establish groups in other innovation hotspots such as Chicago, New York, London, Beijing and Shanghai.
In the virtual world, I run the Leadership+Innovation community on LinkedIn with more than 500 innovation people from around the world.
You are welcome to join our community if you work with innovation in a large organization – no consultants, academics, venture capitalists or startups. The link is:
